MeetBrief Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the MeetBrief application ("the App"), operated by Fabio Lordelo ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on devices you own or control, solely for your personal or internal business purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or sublicense the App or any part of it.

2. Recording Laws and Consent

Recording conversations may be subject to laws requiring the consent of one or more parties. These laws vary by country, state, and context. You are solely responsible for complying with all applicable recording consent laws before using the App to record any meeting or conversation. We do not provide legal advice, and using the App does not absolve you of your legal obligations.

3. AI-Generated Summaries — No Accuracy Guarantee

The App uses artificial intelligence to generate summaries of your meeting transcripts. These summaries are provided for convenience only.

• AI-generated summaries may contain errors, omissions, or misrepresentations of what was said.
• Summaries should not be relied upon as an accurate or complete record of any meeting.
• Do not rely on summaries for legal, medical, financial, or any other professional purposes. Always refer to the original recording or transcript for decisions of consequence.

We expressly disclaim all liability for any decisions made or actions taken based on AI-generated summaries.

4. Subscriptions

The App offers auto-renewable subscriptions (Basic and Pro) and a one-time in-app purchase (BYOK Unlock), processed by Apple through StoreKit. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to the following:

• Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
• Renewal charges are applied to your Apple ID account within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device's App Store account settings.
• No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods, except as required by applicable law or Apple's policies.

Purchases are also subject to Apple's standard End User License Agreement.

5. Your Data

You retain full ownership of your recordings, transcripts, and summaries. We do not claim any rights over content you create with the App. See our Privacy Policy for details on how data is handled.

6. Prohibited Use

You agree not to use the App to:

• Record conversations without legally required consent.
• Violate any applicable law or regulation.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the App.
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's backend services.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that transcriptions or summaries will be accurate.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App — including damages arising from inaccurate transcriptions or summaries, data loss, or unauthorized recordings.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted at this URL with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
